Question Factory paddock stand

Does anyone have experience w/ factory aux-stand? I bought one @ Canton Cycles a the open-house. It's a real nice unit but the pins don't fit into the bosses that held the pivot pins from the centerstand. There looks to be steel inserts in the bosses to keep the pins from wearing out the aluminum. Can I knock the bushings out with a drift? I hate to use hammers on this bike.

was there a center stand on the bike? Last night I had to re-install a my center stand, I know what you mean with those little bosses, they just push out assuming they haven't fused to the frame.

I was looking for a stand, and called Pit Bull

http://www.pit-bull.com/index.html

They are making one for BMW NA ( in conjunction with Boxer Cup I suspect ) –*should be available later this summer through BMW Dealers only ( as of this writing ).

A front is already available from these guys...

...also mentioned ( goodly ) in Motorcycle Consumer News this month...
Oh! And they have stickers, too!

This is how it works :

If the bike came with a centrestand, it also came with the metal inserts, you are right, to protect the allo frame from wear. Thus your bike came with a centre stand that was removed.

If you get a paddock stand, you have to make shure it is for a bike with or without a standard centre stand.

The good news is, you can knock them out, but it is not a process
that should be repeated often.

If they are out keep them out, only put them back when you sell the bike and put the centrestand back.
