There's no comparison - keep the R90S for sentimental reasons, but ride the new one 'cause it's a much much better bike.
Thats pretty funny - but is that because you were trying to ride the R90S like a R12S?

I also own a Guzzi Lemans1 after riding that I get on the R90S and it feels so composed and civilized.....

I have still got my 78 RS, original except for the Conti Replica pipes.
But I actually have more kms on my 1100S now, 185,000 on the S, 179,000 on the RS!?

Hi Ray - sounds like we have similar taste in bikes - I have a LeMans Mk4.

<...is that because you were trying to ride the R90S like a R12S?>

Maybe - granted, the 12S is a long way from a sport bike, but it has such better brakes and suspension (and no hinge in the middle) that I tend to forget why the 90S still merits a tag and insurance - not everything in the shop does. It was my first BMW (a birthday present when new). I also have a cafe racer with a heavily hot rodded R100 motor in a home-built chassis & shortened K1 forks, better brakes, etc. Honestly, the R90S earns more nostalgia since it came from my wife, but the R100 is much faster and more stable - especially on rough roads. Not as comfortable as the 12, but actually more fun than either as long as I only have to go a couple hours.

Ha!

That's me and my CBX. I love to look at it and wrench on it, but when I take it for a ride on the twisty roads around here I am quickly reminded how primitive it really is. Men were men back in 1980, including me I suppose, hooning about on my Yamaha XSes, but change has been a good thing for motorcycles :-).

Horsepower son Brakes son I had a 1975 R90 put a lot of miles on it but I don't think the 1100 is in the same boat man these 1100s bikes are a whole lot better all the way around than the 90s
