It is a no sale for sure. The winning bidder had never made an ebay transaction before, and the price was 14 K until the jump. there was a possible legit bidder that may have put a large amount in to ensure his success, but the fishy part is someone "knew" the bid and trumped it by $100. My guess is both will not stand and the bike will sell for $12,800

Gotta agree with Richard. Or, it's a fluke and either a casino or museum for a display. You know, those casinos that pay $25,000 for a piece of toast with a Jesus face in it...

So, how many times have you heard "I didn't know BMW made motorcycles"

Less than you might think. More often people walk in and assume all BMW car dealers sell the bikes, too. (and we used to...but sadly gave it up when BMW NA demanded separate, stand-alone facilities for bikes....and we were simultaneously offered a Mini Franchise. We made the right choice, and sold the bike franchise and went w/Mini)

So it appears the bike was pulled from the eBay ad.

Now it's here, or was always here.
Used BMW Motorcycle R69S 1965 - MAX BMW Motorcycles

Probably no deal...

I would love to have a sweet airhead like that for Sunday afternoon rides around town.

There is a guy that lives down the street from me with a R90 that he parks in the rain for days on end propped against the valve cover against hi stone wall. Criminal I tell ya. I've though more than once to see if he'd sell it at a reasonable price but I already have far more projects than I can handle while working full time.
