Of course I am a little biased....but...
San Jose BMW again for the third time this year is closing from Chrismas to New Year paying everyone for all the holiday time off. This is an extreme and very rare Benny in the Motorcycle industry esp. at the dealer level. Chris and Kathleen also provide health insurance thru the company.
They will be closed from SUN 12/23 thru TUES 1/1 opening wed morning at their normal time. The new location will be ready in a few months Interestingly enough, Chris, Kathaleen and Willy (Father, Wife and Son) utilize this time working their tails off modifying, or remodeling or in this case this year preping their soon to be new Location at the corner of West San Carlos and Bascomb the location of the origional BMW car store when I first got involved about early '72. In fact I bought a brand new 320i there. Just thought I'd pass this along as I am very proud

Nice benefit in any industry.

Good for them, sounds like the appreciate their employees. If more companies would realize that acts like this, breed employee satisfaction and lessen expensive employee turn over, we would be better off.

San Jose's employees obviously have more qualifications--read education/training--than is needed for fast food prep/sales.

SJ BMW is a class joint.
I've met Willy a few times, even took trackday school with him.... never knew he was next in line for the throne! A really nice (young) guy that knows and loves bikes.

Glad to hear about SJBMW - 3 Cheers for them!
I'm thankful my employer gives me paid time off between Christmas and New Years Day as well and Health Care at a resonable price too. In fact I've lots to be thankful for in this crazy mixed up world.

Awesome, especially in this economy. I've been wanting to visit San Jose BMW, now I know I will someday make a special trip just to do so. Thanks for sharing.
