New Starter Motor Resource?
No association just ran across it from another forum.
http://www.stockers.com/index.php?oc=1 I also can not personally pledge to the level of quality but have read good stuff about them. But $120 for a R11S starter sounds inexpensive to me. |

There is a place just down the street from me called Sound Starter Rebuild. Absolute wizards and can cover anything. BMW's are very common to them, I had them rebuild both the starter on my 1100S, my 530 cage and they did my 530 alternator for hundreds less than a new one..

Be aware that there are starters out that use plastic in place of metal for bushings & gears, These starters are in no way a deal as they're life expectency is far short of a real Valeo starter. I ran upon this doing reviews online of some of the replacements on fleabay. I spent a little extra ($180 vs $100-120) for an actual Valeo brand starter. I considered rebuilding it but at $140 for parts I decided new was a better deal. Just thought you might like to know to check out what they have inside.
