World Superbike 2013 is starting Feb 24th and there is no tv schedule for USA on SpeedTV yet. Rumour is there will be no WSBK coverage for us this year and all other two wheel sports may be in jeopardy, since FoxSports purchased SpeedTV.
The last couple years have been great watching WSBK, even more than MotoGP in some regards. Looks like MotoGP is still on the SpeedTV schedule, but no WSBK with just one week till the opener. Anyboby know where or how to view WSBK in the US this year?

...appears no coverage for the first race in Phillip Island.
I think they did that last year as well. Aragon , second race, is in April. WORLDSBK.COM | PHILLIP ISLAND WORLDSBK.COM | ARAGON

Look closer. The link does nothing when you hit "WSBK Sunday on Speed". Also there is nothing in the schedule for WSBK on the 24th. Maybe a last minute agreement will be reached, but not looking good so far.

Maybe this is more your style, RU Faster than a Redneck
Which is the kind of programing that all moto racing will eventually be replaced with. Just not enough mainstream advertising dollars to support viewing the sport much longer. I guess if your motorcycling only goes as deep as trying to get 10k miles out of a set of tires, then it really doesn't matter.

Did you wake up one day and decide to be a d1ck....or have you been one your entire life. I am just trying to figure out why you make a comment like that to a couple of guys that are in a discussion about a motorcycle race that you don't care anything about.

Those pathetic losers at Speed gave up on Formula 1 for 2013. It will aloow them more time to air NASCAR practice and infomercials about truck parts.

With just about everyone bar the Aprillia's and BM's crashing and I hear Camier's bike jumped the fence and they had to get the bike out of a tree, with official test still to come hopefully their will be someone left to race a week today.

At least if Speed dumps MotoGP racing from their listings we can watch all the races on the MotoGP website. I have speed, but I'll pay the fee for the website membership to watch without commercials about Nascar and truck parts! Pathetic.
Please keep this thread going if anyone's got any news about where to watch the races... |

John, maybe we'll need the monster DVR to get all the episodes
![]() Sheldon, I agree that an online package would be preferable. I only have Speed chanel for the moto racing anyway. I could drop the whole extra sports package from my cable service and go back to basic. So far Speed does a pretty good job with Supercross, but that may change too. Now that Dorna owns both MotoGP and WSBK maybe a combo online package is possible for at least those two series.

The only reason I have speed is for the motorcycle racing.
If they dump WSB I'll dump them. Bye, bye speed ![]() P.S. I hate NASCAR |

Superbike planet reports rumors that Al Jazeera will be picking up the broadcast rights to WSBK! That should give this thread a little boost

here's what's out there.
don't forget that phillip island is 16 hours ahead of EST. The 2013 World Superbike Championship may make its live U.S. television debut on beIN SPORT television on Saturday night, while being simultaneously streamed live online. BeIN Sport, which has the U.S. broadcast rights to World Superbike, may show the first race live in the U.S.on Saturday, February 23 at 8 p.m. EST. (Phillip Island is 16 hours ahead of EST.) Though the beIN SPORT website doesn't list World Superbike on its schedule, a spokesperson originally confirmed the time slot. However, in a follow-up e-mail, the spokesperson wrote that a decision hadn't been made on whether it would be televised. "Superbike is only confirmed to be available streaming live online through the beIN SPORT website," the spokesperson wrote, adding that a decision on televising it would be made Wednesday, February 20. BeIN SPORT TV, which is owned jointly by Time Warner Cable of New York and Al Jazeera, is a sports channel that primarily broadcasts the top levels of European soccer, but also televises tennis, golf, volleyball, boxing, rugby and basketball. It's currently available on DISH and DIRECTTV, as well as in many areas on Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, and Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico. random notes: Channel 400 on local comcast Wed at 8:30 it list the World Superbike season preview show! channel 426 on DirectTV U.S.on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. EST. Time Warner has BeIn Sport available for purchase. It is bundled with a bunch of sports channels and will add $8.99 to your cable bill. It can be found on channel 278 or 378 in HD. AT&T doesn't carry it. and yep, you can say that Al Jazeera is also broadcasting the WSBK stuff, but since they're a partner with Time Warner Cable you can say that anything TWC broadcasts is from Al Jazeera. personally, even if i watch it wearing a burka, the picture looks the same regardless of who owns the company. and if i watch it with Ted Turner, and have Jane Fonda sit on my knee, the picture still looks the same. which raises the question: why does the broadcast from phillip island always look like crap compared to most other rounds? last year's race looked like they stretched pantyhose over the camera lenses. ...or maybe a semi-transparent burka? ------------------------------------- ama pro racing notes: DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 19, 2013) - SPEED will once again serve as GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing and AMA Pro Flat Track's broadcast partner for the 2013 season opening DAYTONA 200 Week at Daytona International Speedway. Fans can tune into SPEED on Friday, March 15, 2013, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT to catch the elite AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike class battle it out during Race 1. SPEED will pick back up on Sunday, March 17, 2013 to broadcast the rest of the weekend's intense AMA Pro Racing action from the World Center of Racing. random notes: no burkas, but rather tall leggy girls in short skirts with push-up bras who will tease the hell out of you, but you won't get laid. (american tradition). Last edited by bradzdotcom; 02-20-2013 at 04:00 AM.. |
