Looking for a bit of help
First I fess up, yes I toppled my R1200S in the garage in a moment of stupidity. This was last year two weeks after picking it up. I had no idea what the farkles on this sucker cost until after doing a bit of research on line. Scrapped one very fancy Hornig turn signal/license plate combo and punctured a rather cool Ilmberger CF fairing.
Fast forward to now, Hornig bit is replaced (Christmas). Same model but now comes with replaceable bits, they may have heard me crying in Germany. I have located a guy that works in composites willing to repair the fairing. The question is how do I get the bloody emblems off? Read the thread that suggested heat and dental floss - no joy. Those suckers are seriously attached, no wiggle room at all even after heating them to near extinction. Bit of a gap, about .15mm and it feels like a wad of epoxy, very hard even when hot. Any ideas? No try, do or not do

Any emblems I have replaced were just stuck on with double stick. I have not tried to do anything with the body panel emblems though. Why do you need to remove them? You can probably do paint work around them, and if you are buying new panels just get a new emblem.

The damage is actually quite close to the emblem on the left side. It may be possible to repair it leaving them on - will try that route first.
