Charity Ride & Event Sunday March 24th
Hello Gents,
As a fellow rider I have to inform you all of a charity ride and event taking place this Sunday sponsored by PAUL MITCHELL the school here in Southern California. The students of PAUL MITCHELL will be providing FREE haircuts, there will a raffle as well with the chance to win some cool stuff including a FREE track day from the boys at MotoYard.com all for a $20 donation in which all the proceeds go to charity. The ride will start at the Rock Store in which riders will make their way through the canyons to the coast of the ocean and meet at Neptune's Net. See the flyer for details. ![]()

Looks like Fellow Pelican rider Moki and I need haircuts.
Thanks for the tip Trinidad. I couldn't find much more info on the ride, or what kind of group is excpected to show up, but it doesn't really matter. I do need a haircut, and it's practically in my back yard, so what the heck. The only other info I found was that the sportbike group is leaving the Rock Store promptly at 10am. We will probably do some more riding after lunch at Neptune's Net.

That can be a lot of bikes with unknown skills - sounds a little scary.

Getting a haircut at Supercuts can be a little scary too. No way are we planning to pound chests with an unknown group like this. I don't expect it to be a very long ride to the lunch spot anyway. There's lots of good canyon roads up there and we will to do the fun stuff after the group ride.
Hopefully, we can keep to the plan better than the "keep it under 80mph" motto for the Triple Crown rides ![]() John, you should come along with us for the circus. You might even need a couple hairs cut too. BTW, none of my other riding buddies are interested in this unknown group ride either, for the same reasons. I'm just looking at it as a Sunday ride in the convertible with the top down, taking in the sights. Should be pretty funny actually, from that perspective.

I'll keep my eye out for you John if you can make it.
We'll be the clowns at the back of the group on our Monsters ![]()

Moki and I met at the Rock Store at around 9:30. The usual big bike crowd was there. It was a little difficult to find anyone involved in the charity ride until I noticed a couple gals with clip boards. Turned out they were the one's to talk to. It was a fairly small group. About a dozen in the sportbike group and probably about the same in the cruiser group.
We stuck to the plan and hung toward the back of the sportbike group. They turned out to ride a very reasonable pace anyway and no one was being inappropriate at all. I would ride with any of these guys again. There were a krapload of nice Ducatis in the group and even one brand new Panigale. The Paul Mitchell students had a nice setup for the haircuts across the street in a big grass field. Both Moki and I got our haircut from Patty who was one of the students. Overall, it was a great day out with plenty of time left over to go play some more if anyone felt the need. My new haircut will recorded for the next ten years on my renewed driver's license I got this afternoon. I really did need a haircut after all.
