Thanks for posting that. I am at this very moment thumbing through my Steve Farson book (early Christmas present) and Butler map attempting to lay out a two week trip for this summer. I'm really hoping that I can attend TOR and do the 100,000' ride all on the same trip. Just waiting now to see when the 100,000' ride is scheduled.

I don't see myself missing out on that trip... unless I run into any kind of hardship.
And we don't have tsunamis here, so the ships are usually in the water and I don't drive there.

Cool, TOR! I need to decide which bike to ride. I got this big goofy KTM that I can haul a lot of crap on and go really fast across northern AZ/NM, but I really like my Xchallenge better. I might just have to adjust my expectations regarding my rate of speed across the vast flat boring part of the trip so I can enjoy the steep dirty part better.

It's too early for me to know if I can join in next year's festivities... there's also a very good chance I will be on a family vacation to Alaska that month which will soak up the budget.

Thank you! I was just at their website a couple of days ago poking around, don't know how I missed that, all I saw was their 2012 events. But the really great thing is that I should be able to do both events. My wife will hate me for this but this is going to be great!
