Shortly after our encounter with the CHP we where off and running down hyw36 out of Red Bluff towards my old stomping ground in search of Big Foot!

This particular road is over 60 miles long. You can see how nice the pavement is. Not my all time favorite but it sure is purty on a nice day! BTW I have been told that this road is the longest continuos ridge running road in this country.

 Hundreds of miles of roads with virtually no traffic! Occasional pot farmers , ranchers or hunters! that's about it. What's there not to like.

After a few days of riding the hyw 36 area, George and I headed south on the coast to have dinner with Wild Will and pick up PFFOG in Gualala.

 George and I scouted out Usal road and after George went south to meet his girl, Richard and I came back to ride it. After losing my glasses I proceeded to bust my ass. Anyway it sure is purty in northern CA!

Dean, it was great seeing Wild Will! The guy is amazing! He sure lives in a beautiful part of the world. He also put us onto a couple of nice roads in wine country that were quite enjoyable.

We had dinner with Will ,met Richard then headed north for the night. Always being treated to the beautiful California coast.

No kidding Dee about Will's area. Every time I get a new bike from San Jose, I ride to Will's for a few days to break it in......Properly..

Dean, the roads and lack of traffic make it so sweet!
The 2012 BMW GSA got a work out logging 9600 miles in a little over 3 weeks.

Beautiful roads, it's been too long since I've ridden up there. As for "performance awards" I've come to just accept them as an added cost of bike vacations (along with associated lawyer fees).

After riding a couple of days PFFog and I headed to Weaverville to meet Ridemore on his new water cooled GS. He had just made the run over from NC and also had received his performance award near Chester on hyw36.
