Engine Serial Numbers
I was looking at Wunderlich Performance Controllers on their website last night. The controllers come in two different configurations based basically on the type of O2 sensor plug. This plug type changed between MY2001 and 2002. My bike is a 2000 but has a later O2 sensor plug. I've always suspected that my bike has had a checkered past and this issue adds fuel to that fire. Do the engines have an ID plate of some sort somewhere? I'd be curious to know if the engine is original to the bike.

Not sure what it will tell you. But it's under the right hand side cylinder.

Mitch, the plate riveted to the C frame is a compliance place which I believe to be unique to the Oz market although the Kiwis might have something similar.

I did some more digging and found that US bikes dont have VIN decals or plates on the engines like cars do. I cant find that thread again though.
