Problems with listing parts for sale.

Can someone send me a note on how to post things for sale on this forum. I simply can not see how to do it. TIA

That's because you don't do it on this forum.

You do it on this forum. R1100S Bikes and Parts For Sale - Pelican Parts Technical BBS

Then just do what you did here, but only there.

Thank you very much CK. I hope your photo shoots are going well and I hope to be out your way some this summer if we can ever catch up here at the house. It is time for me to start getting rid of the things here at the shop and I want to list some related bikes and special parts that might be of interest to our pelican brothers. I would have loved to have had a BCR Lane, and will never forget the chase runs we all had at the Eastern Continental Run some years back. Is your Volvo still running? I told people about your car that had NEVER had the oil changed and they did not believe me. Oh well, perhaps it was not a volvo..........but I remember the never change part. Take care and hope to see you in May. Thanks to you both.

Haha...I did change oil, every 10,000 miles. The dealer, I'm friends with the owner, kept telling me I was going to kill the engine....he told me that for over 10 years, until I parked it with 575k on the clock...it was a great car. I donated car to charity. I then bought the newer s80 and had problems they did not want to handle, then the lawsuits...I had enough, when to BMW cars...wow...I wish I done that years before. My 530i is the best car I have ever owned...cheapest as well, as the service intervals are so far out...ie. spark plugs 100,000 miles, oil 15000 miles. I have 235,000 and I still love it.

Be safe,
Lane

Oil every 15,000 miles? I'd change it half that just to give me something to do. Changing oil isn't just a requirement, but a time to bond.

It's what the BMW engineers recommend. I was told on my 530i that even though the book says 15k oil change, that it would gum up your engine, particularly upper head. I started believing it too. Then I did a valve cover gasket change last year at about 200,000 miles....it was spotless. I really believe its ok to change oil at 10k on our bikes. I just hate wasting oil.

Also, with 8 bikes,3 cars, a motor home and a chipper, mower and two generators I don't change oil early...if I did that's all I would do. Lol

I have a two stroke Husqvarna chain saw. How often should I change oil on it?

There is a lot to like about 2 strokes. I have a husky saw as well...do u store w/fuel or w/o. I have started storing with non ethanol fuel with stabil in my saw, trimmer and blower. I have not had the spring start up problems I have had in the past.
