Traffic Light Device
Anyone hear about a device which changes traffic lights for you?
I'm guessing it is a magnet which lets the sensors in the road surface know that you are there...as opposed to not sensing you like they often do. What is it? Where can I get one?

I think Wile-e-Coyote used to use one of those, while attached to roller skates, to catch the roadrunner. It was massive, U-shaped, came in a big box and was called "Acme." Seriously though, I'd like to learn of the advisability, or lack thereof, of such a device...

I recently bought 2 examples of the the Green light trigger from (surprise, surprise): http://www.greenlighttrigger.com/. Very strong rare earth magnets.
There are other devices available (if you know where to go) as used by the public transport here in Zürich but as my S and SP3 are not the regulation blue and white I think I might get noticed..... Cheers

I use the greenlight trigger. Definitely triggers most lights that I used to get stuck at before, but I have still come across some lights that I get stuck at. For the 6 or 7$ it cost, it was worth it.
You might just try sticking a 2$ strong magnet to your centerstand. As far as I can tell, that's all the greenlight trigger is anyways. |
