Synchronizing the Boxer
Just visited my dealer in Ft Lauderdale. They hired a new mechanic. I was talking to him about my bike and about how I took out the cat converter relay and how it now ran better particularly at idle. He asked if I had ever synchronized my motor. My answer was no. before I knew it he had attached some sort of gauges to the carbs and went about synchronizing. This basically involved adjusting the throttles cable length to the two carbs. It took him 10 minutes, and my bike has never run better. I can actually blip the throttle now and get immediate results. I highly recommend for other boxer owners.

This is basically what we do when we tune our bikes with either a Twin-Max or mercury sticks.
The S is very sensitive to proper 'carb' balance. You get much better fuel economy as well as a smoother ride. Like a lot of owners here I tune my S regularly with the Twin-Max, very easily done and is one of the best tools in my toolbox. Cheers TREVOR
