I need to replace the rear shocks on my wifes 1998 Z3

Anyone out there ever remove the rear shocks on a Z3 looks fairly simple, but how do I get to the top of the shock to remove the top bracket? any instruction on the procedure would be helpful! thanks

Just curious why you are replacing the shocks? A common problem on the car is that the upper shock tower gromett/bushing wears out and the shocks rattle around.
