X5 codes

I have a 2001 bmw X5. I am getting two codes, 1349, and 1351. When the service engine soon light comes on the car misfires. The codes leads me to a misfire on cylinders #4 and 5. I have changed the two respective injectors, plugs and ignition coils, and the problem still exist. When ever I take the light off the car runs smooth and no misfire. Within 5 to 8 minutes the light comes back on and the misfire returns. Has anyone out there run into this problem before.

X5 3.0 2008 misfire issues

I have a 2008 3.0 same problem, damp cold days first but now it running rough and misfiring, was about to replace coils plugs, but afraid it wouldn't fix it. Still searching for a fix, have about 92k miles on it. Would love some help as I'm not going to a dealer for this fix. Can't imagine what it would cost me!
Thanks,
Paul

If you have misfire faults on cyl 4 and 5 and you have replace the 2 plugs , 2 injectors, and 2 ign. coils.? When check engine light come on again did you check faults see what the faults are again? Also do you have 6 cyl. or 8cyl. engine? Check those wiring harness from Ign. coils where the plug connector wires are may have rubbed through on the valve cover and ground it and making some sparks you can see black mark on the valve cover.

For your 2008 3.0 X5 I would check faults first before you do anything. Especially misfire when engine cold. Could be many other things.
