I'm helping a friend fix his 1998 Z3. It's got the 4-cylinder M44 engine, and the problem is that one of the two coolant hoses that connect the back of the engine going inside the cabin heater, came loose at the engine side. It's kept there by a hose clamp, but access is very difficult.
I'm wondering, is there a good place to reach that hose from? Also, how much should the hose be pushed in? I'm having difficulty pushing it more than half inch or so, which doesn't seem enough. Thanks for any help! |

I have a flexible nut driver with a long flexible shaft that sometimes comes in handy for hose clamps. If that doesnt work, you may want to look into a thumb ratchet.
