Removing z3m e-box to replace fan DIY?

I need to replace my E Box cooling fan. Any one know how to remove the e box. It looks like it should just slide up off the firewall but feels pretty stuck.

On my Z3 (not M), the E Box is on passenger side inside engine compartment. Few Philips screws. Then open it and take out the DME and EGS (trasnmission computer). The fan sits under this and hold by 2 screws.

BTW i bought the same dealer OEM type fan for 8.99$ from eBAY. ( dealer price is $180). It is just a CPU kind of fan for the computer but an industrial grade. The one i bought from eBAY was exact same as what was inside.

Dont know if it caused it, but the fan was dead and i had to change my DME (issues with CAN bus communication). Bought the rebuild DME from ecudoctors.
