P1130 code
Hi
Greetings from a sunny Cape Town. I have a Boxster S 2000 model RHD with 158 000 km on the clock. Car is in good condition and used as a daily driver. My scanner shows a fault code P1130 Oxygen sensing adaption idle range, Bank 2. The engine check light is NOT illuminated and there are no other problems or symptoms. According to the OBC Im getting 9.8 litres /100 km (27 mpg Imperial) fuel consumption. Question; is Bank 2 on the right hand side when viewed from the rear of the car? Im thinking that I have a vacuum leak on Bank 2 inlet pipework. If it was a faulty MAF then the codes for both Banks would appear, right? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. |

P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Rich Threshold
Having just P1130 means your problem is on the cylinder 4-6 side of the engine only. The most common problem for this fault is an intake or vacuum air leak. |

Yes, Bank 2 is on the right hand side when viewing the engine from the rear.
