Becker Amplifier replacement possible ??

Hi ALL
My 2003 986 has the factory radio coupled a Becker BE6600 ASF Amp the dashboard speakers have stopped working and I have been told that I need a new Amp, I can find lots of them on EBAY but none are Becker can I use a different brand or not ?

If you are looking for a bolt in replacement, there are no alternatives that I am aware of, so you have two choices:
1) install aftermarket, fairly complex job, but not impossible
2) replace the factory unit

If you go the #2 route, I would suggest you contact the guys at Becker Autosound in Saddle Brook NJ. They will sell you a rebuilt for a couple hundred bucks, after core charge, comes with a 12 month warranty. If you live in the area, you can do a drive by (well, at least when there’s no pandemic) and save the time of having to ship them the old one.

Thanks tcora unfortunately I am in Ireland so a drive by totally out of question
