Removing carpet.

Living in the West of Scotland there is lots of rain and sometimes it finds its way into the 2002 Boxster. It has happened before and the garage who specializes in Porsche said the only way to dry the carpet is to take it out of the car. Due tithe Covid19 situation the garage is not able to do the work so I am giving it a go. I have got all bits removed except the accelerator pedal. I have removed the 1screw at the top but what next?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Martin

Problem solved! Having moved the carpet upwards to release the carpet and pedal the pedal unit pushed out with a significant effort. It is tightly fitted to the carpets but there is no connection as such. Now to dry carpet!
