Subscribed for info as well. FWIW I've heard nothing but good things on these motors.

I have 115,000 on my 2.9 PDK boxster, they are great cars, I do all the work myself, just did a PDK and clutch fluid change. The only problem I have found is getting any info to see what is needed when working on them. Very limited, I just finished water pump and thermostat inspection since I had the coolant out. I replaced the o-rings and gaskets. I really had to do some digging to see what was needed. Either these engines are that good or everyone keeps the secrets to themselves. However I will never sell her as she is that reliable and for what she does Porsche did a great job.

Dead nuts reliable. Water pump is a wear item and should be changed at 50k or so. Otherwise they run cool, oiling is excellent, and there is no "hit list" of failures at all. I call that a win!

Mine currently has around 70k miles and 50ish track days. I did the water pump when I started hearing a grinding noise at 48k. The PDK also had a complete fluid change at that time which is well ahead of scheduled maintenance.
