Brake pads street/autocross

Can anyone recommend a good brake pad for street, Autocross and an occasional track day? Use my 2006 Cayman S for fun. It is not a daily driver but I do take it out a lot. Thanks.

How much squeeling do you want to put up with? The "better" the track pad, the more squeel you get during low speed stops. For the occasional use, the factory pads would get you through. Then you go to like a Hawk HP or HP+ pad thats a little better at heat management.. then full track pads.
Also, for an AX where heat build up tends not to be an issue, a track pad might not be the best either. See? nothing but more confusion. If in fact the AX and DE use is truly occasional, it will be your seat time/experience that limits you more than the brake pads.

Thanks. Went with the Hawk HP+ pads. Put them in yesterday and now I have ABS, PSM and PASM warnings. Ugh.

This is odd. Did you remove the calipers or change the brake fluid? Did you re-use old wear sensors or tie them up out of the way?. I never use the brake wear sensors and change pads a lot on my 2009 Cayman. Never had a warning light afterwards.

What's odd is that people let me work on my own car. lol. After posting, borrowing a Duremetric and bothering a bunch of friends all day I discovered I plugged the speed sensor into the brake sensor plug and the brake sensor into the speed sensor plug. Somebody please come take my car from me!!!

Yes, but you just prevented me from making the same mistake. Thanks!
