Conv Top alignment 03S
The white plastic tipped cable broke and things got out of alignment. I've tried following different threads from different organizations but to no avail. The top looks good closed but warning light remains. I've made all the adjustments I have read about. Ive not touched the boomerang since it hasn’t been moved. Besides the warning light when the top is up the top doesn't go down evenly. It appears the right side of the. top doesn't retract enough and the top cover hits it and won't completely close. I've added some photos. The cover will go lower but it’s already touching the top.
Does anyone know the adjustment location to get the top to retract lower? I’m sure that is my problem. I could get the stowed position lower but which adjustment controls that? Thanks in advance. J ![]() ![]() |

I believe that you might need to pull off the rod-end from the bell-crank (boomerang?) for the right side cable and spin the cable to match what is essentially the preload on the left side.

It seems to me that the cables adjust the level of the cover. The cover came down but the top stayed high and now touches when lowered. |

I tried all the connections to the boomerang plus spun the cable trying to get the top to stow lower. I’ve got it to where the clamshell won’t come up without assistance to close the top.

Have you confirmed that the stops are adjusted correctly?
![]() These set into the circles at the bottom of the picture, and can be adjusted for height with a wrench.
