986 won’t start, immobilizer?

Hi, I have a 2000 986 that is not staring. I guess it’s the immobilizer. I turn the key and the lights and everything comes on but the engine won’t crank, starter does nothing. I’ve done all of the other steps, changed the starter, ignition switch, bypassed the clutch engage switch. I just took out the starter relay in the trunk and jumped it. The engine then cranks but won’t fire up, however with the relay back in I touched the two posts on the front of the starter and the car started right up and runs normally. I thought if the problem is the immobilizer the car wouldn’t run no matter how you start it because the injectors won’t fire. What are your thoughts on this?
