window and top electrical gremlins

Hi folks. Bought 2001 boxster base in spring. Wanted project car to work on myself. Replaced starter to solve hot starting problem. Replaced faulty air-oil separator. Car did not have any electrical issues, except that door latch drop on passenger side did not work. Recently, while I was waiting for parts, battery ran down. I didn't realize until I tried to start it. When I turned key, headlights flashed really rapidly, and a chorus of relays clicking on and off. Unhooked battery, it was at 20%. Had battery tested, it was fine. Charged it up, car started no problem, ran great. Except that power windows no longer responded to console switches. When I had last used car, I had windows all the way down. They would not go up with switches. Tried holding buttons down, no change. Also noticed that "Top open" indicator light was lit up. I since have learned that you need to keep your finger on the top button until the light goes out, so when I did that, light went out and stayed out. When I tried to close top the next day, during that process the windows went all the way up. Now, they are all the way up, and will not go down. And, now when I try to close the top, the windows no longer do their 1.5 inch drop to allow the top to go up, even though they were doing this fine before. The door latch window drop does still work on drivers side. I thought it may be the microswitch on the top latch, removed it, examined it, looked fine, seemed to test fine with multimeter, ended up ordering new one through pelican. Installed new one, didn't help. So, only way I can close top is to open both doors, close top, then try to shoehorn window under top on passenger side. The door drop on drivers side sufficient to close door. Problem can't me window motors (drivers side door drop still works, can't be both console switches fail at same time, and now window drop to close/open top not working. I have looked at all fuses. What do I check next? Thanks

Check for wet carpets under drivers seat. Immobilizer is under there, and if it gets wet, similar results can happen.

Cheers
