Can anyone tell help with this?
I have a 1998 Boxster 986 and I needed to change my CV Axel and Knuckle. When I when back to install the new parts. I noticed a lot of looks to be differential fluid has leaked out and where the part where CV Axel bolts in the rear end sticks out a little. Anyone ever ran into this problem before? Is that something I can possible push back in place? As of right now, Im completely stomped and my car is on my QuickJack in the middle of my garage. So ANY ANY ANY help would be greatly appreciated. James from Columbia SC.

The axle flange has a replaceable seal which you need to replace:

It is the seals in lower exploded view. Getting access is the main obstacle. I got my Indy to fix it.

Same on my 2004 986. Quite a lot of work to gain access to the seal. Got my Indie to do it.
