Numeric or B & M Short Shift

Thinking about a short shift mod for my 2006 base Boxster. I have 65,000 miles. I understand that at some point, I will need to upgrade shift cables. Numeric's kits have been recommended in some threads. Is it worth the extra to get the Numeric shifter or do the cheaper mod as per Wayne's project #42? (https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/42-TRANS-Short_Shift_Kit/42-TRANS-Short_Shift_Kit.htm) (or RD or Rennline?)

short shifter

FWIW, I had the local P dealer install a Porsche SS in my 2006 CS I bought used from the Land Rover dealer and remained pleased with it until I traded in the car. Several years after the SS, I had a pair of Numeric shifter cables installed and immediately wished I had bought them sooner.
