Just want to thank again the dollar and headaches saved by this site. Trying to help the mailman with his 99 Boxster get his radio to work and prevent him from going postal. Supposably he purchased his car from a Ford dealer two years ago... go figure... and he hasn't had the radio working since.

I am trying to replace the cr220 radio in my ‘02 boxster. The original radio quit, so my local independent tech gave me one he had laying around. I Took out the old one, slid in the new and when it asked for the code, I put in the code that was written on top of it that was supposed to be correct for that unit. After three tries it locked me out. I waited until it would let me try again so I tried the code for the original radio. No luck. Tried the correct one again twice and locked out again. The serial number for the replacement one is X5013131 and the code is supposed to be 0343. Can anyone help me here? Thanks.
