Boxsters better if built in Uusikaupunki or Stuttgart?
I was doing some research tonight and found out Boxsters were built in Germany and Finland. Which ones have fewer problems? It is said the Saabs built in Finland have less problems than the Saabs built in Sweden.
EDIT: Never mind, it says: "The quality of the Valmet Boxsters have turned out to be at least as good as the Stuttgart cars, maybe better." But I cant delete this thread ![]() Last edited by APZak; 07-31-2004 at 08:39 PM.. |

The Boxsters in Finland are just as good as the ones made in Stuttgart.

My S is from Finland and I have had no problems. IMHO the paint on all Boxsters seems a bit suspect. Prone to chipping.

I've got not time for wankers who need to get a life. Porsche has it's name on all the cars. Some are better some are worst but thier all more fun than most other cars on the road. I had 4 914's and loved them all. NOw I have a Boxster S and I love it also. MY feeling is if I see ya driving by in your Porsche I'll wave, if you don't wave back then your the A-hole who bought the car for the wrong reason. As for the Boxster and where it was built I'd be suprised if half the people who owned them would be able to tell where it was built.

Dude, chill out. I'm just mess'n with you. I'm looking forward to building a bolt in hoop and diagonal for a local guy with one bad a$$ Boxster S. The car has every little upgrade imaginal done to it, and for taking it to the track he wants a rollbar hoop and a diagonal that runs from the top of the hoop to the passenger floor pan (like the 914 ones).
I have the up-most respect for everything Porsche has done. Even if I don't particulary like the car, i still respect the overall workmanship and engineering.
