Hello,
Just wondering on your take on soft tops, I have a cracked rear window, I was quoted $600 installed for a new back window! My question is how hard is it to replace a soft top, or is it better to take it to the pro's? I like doing what I can myself, but I do have limatations! I also work on my Testarossa when I can, but I know when I have to drop the $120 hr to the pro's when it's over my head! Have you heard of this soft top off of e-bay?? Sound's like it might be to good to be true, price wise? As always thanks for your expertise on Porsches!!! ![]() Robert |

The shop I sub out the cab top work to charges $400 or so to change a window, and about $1100 to install an aftermarket top (including the top)
The price quoted in the ebay ad seems about right. I would caution against installing it yoursef unless you are experienced with upholstery. Too easy to rip\tear bend things. ![]() If the rest of your top is in good shape, I would just get the window replaced. If the top is getting a bit ratty, spend the cash and get a new top and get it installed professionally. AFJuvat
