I have a 1997 Boxster with a Tiptronic transmission, and was out driving on Sunday and every thing was working fine. When I pulled into the driveway and tried to put the gear shift into park, it would not go easily. I forced it into park and then opened my garage door to put the car away, then when I shifted into drive it would not move, then shifted into reverse and still the car would not move. I had to push the car into the garage and have tried it again and still no go, the gear shift lever will not go into park any more.
Any one have any idea what could have happened, or has it happened to anyone else. thanks dhb

sounds like your shifter went south.
Professional assistance is required at this point. AFJ

Yes, I figured this was needed and the car has been at the local Porsche service for a week and they have not had time to look at it. I was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else in the past.
thanks dhb
