++does boxster 97-03 has traction control?++

or some thing like that
and if it does can we turn off/on ?

Traction control was an option from 1997-2000. It was replaced by another option called PSM 2000-2004. Both these options have a switch on the dash.

No switch. No option.

FYI, TC (Traction Control) was a far more rudimentary system than the PSM (Porsche Stability Management). The TC pretty much just cuts power when the rear begins to slip...or one wheel spins faster than the other. It's basically there to help you from spinning out through a turn. PSM, if I recall correctly, works all four wheels at the brakes and the motor's power to help with more driving situations than just powering through a turn (like trying to stay straight while driving on an icy road). The bottom line is PSM is a better system.

The switch for either is located here:



If it's a "blank" switch, there's no TC/PSM.
