I belong to another Boxster board and when I posted pictures of my 2002 showing a spoiler, speedster humps and balck bra, I received only one reply. I'd of thougfht there would be a lot more, but now I think you're right, nobody wants to fix'em up!

Tool Pants has a wealth of knowledge on the boxster so I was suprised that he mispelled it twice? Then he said something about eliminating the S. That's why I asked if he was drunk. |
I was replying to bigrubberjeep and he skipped the "s" and so did I.
And so did Porsche with a technical publication. If Boxter is good enough for Porsche then it is good enough. Can't wait until I get the Cayman technical publications to see that spelling. http://usera.imagecave.com/ToolPants...mispelled2.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/ToolPants...isspelled1.JPG |
GAYMAN.....sorry...there I said it ;)

Kind of a Catch 22 I guess. People may not post here because of the lack of activity, which therefore keeps the activity minimal/less  I have never been fond of the name Boxster. I think they should just have called it the 986. |

Snooping around in Boxsterville, I was interested to read how the enthusiast community is doing. "Not so well" seems to be the consensus.
Having driven a Boxster for the first time on Friday, I can easily see that the future of the Boxster will be similar to the 911 evolution. These cars are incredible. They are fun, agile and the SOUND. Wow. "The most fun you can have with your pants on" is my assessment. As soon as enough of these cars get into the hands of people who love them for all the "right" reasons message boards like this will be brimming with enthusiasm. The posers are providing a great service to us the enthusiasts - cash injection for the Porsche Company. Since the advent of a "popular" Porsche (credit the Boxster), the Company's future has never been better. The only drawback I can see is that it seems like a hoist is a manditory shop tool for you folks. Also, a tour of the car is all too short - no facinating tangle of pipes and wire to look at.... I'll be joining your ranks soon.... |
