Wheels Question
I have a '99 Boxster and want to find a spare set of 17" wheels for the track. I don't care what style they are. Are the offsets for 911 wheels the same or do I need to look just for Boxster wheels?

Are we to assume you mean 996 vintage 911? The rears on the 996 were 9". The rears on the Boxster were 8.5". It is conceivable that a small spacer will be needed to make the 996 rears fit without rubbing. You also don't mention if you car is lowered or not. Lowered cars sometimes have rub issues along the strut assembly.
I have seen Boxsters use 964,993 and 996 wheels. If you try to fit pre-964 911 wheels on your car they wont work because the offsets are completely different (new cars are about 50-55mm offset.. pre 964 911s are 10-20mm offsets)

Thanks for the reply. Car is not lowered yet but probably will be when a four wheel alignment is done for the track. I am building a spec boxster and the spec calls for 8.5" rears with 55mm offset. If no 911 wheels are 8.5" than I guess I have to stick to boxster wheels.
