'01 Boxster radio in a '90 964?
wife's boxster has an alpine and she gave me the original boxster radio (becker for porsche). i think the boxster has an amp up front, no? anyway, can the swap be done? i have a non-factory blaupunkt bermuda i bought from crutchfield giving me fits..can't see the readout and doesn't seem to be adjustable for contrast or brightness..sometimes won't play cd, won't advance, no volume control..you name it..weird stuff. would like to send it back and put in the boxster radio. anyone know if it's doable? thanks!

THe wiring harnesses are not compatible.
Contact crutchfield and see if they sell a harness adapter.

thanks, mike...pm'd bell and he said too that the boxster radio probably has an amp up front. i think it does. does this complicate things as well? gotta run do a survey flight..crappy weather, too..

I have a 2000 Boxster S that needs a radio. If you decide to sell yours, I could be a buyer. Is it a CDR-220?

i still haven't contacted crutchfield about the adapter harness..my blaupunkt still is acting up..big pia. if i find i can't use it, will let you know when life slows down a little for me.
