Cayman S TPMS dash light on
I'm in the process of buying a 07 Cayman S with 20" wheels, but the TPMS light is always on. The owner tells me that it is due to the 20" wheels because the sensor does not read a signal therefor the light is on all the time.
The P dealer tells me that they will not disable the light because of reliability issue. Questions: Can the light be disable w/o affecting any other system? Is there any other systems affected by that light being on all the time? Is there a way to disconnect it? Is there any way to make it work with the 20" wheels? |

(You can tell if you have TPMS by the valve stems, if they are silver with silver plastic valve caps Then you have TPMS. They also have a thin nut that you can see from the outside as opposed to the the non TPMS style which are black with no retaining nut.) http://www.beru.com/download/produkte/montageanleitung_tss_e.pdf Assuming they are installed and are the correct versions, there is a setup procedure in the owners manual that you will have to follow to get them to work. I recommend doing a search for TPMS on http://www.caymanclub.net Last edited by Driver8; 01-28-2009 at 07:50 AM.. |

Thanks for the feedback.
That's awesome and it makes sense... I wonder why the dealer didn't mention anything about it... Is this (Beru) the same system/supplier/compatible with the cayman system? |
