Clock/Oil level indicator?

Hi,

I have a 2000 base Boxster. 2.7
Everything worked on it until the last month or so.
I noticed the clock and oil level indicator (that comes on when you turn the key and counts down to give you a gage reading of the oil level- providing you are up to operating temp-) was no longer working.
I have checked the fuses in the left kick panel and cannot locate one that is not good. (?)
Has anyone noticed this on their boxster or whatever? Did you find out the cause?
Any thoughts or experiences will be appreciated..

Thanks,
Ron
