advise in ob2 reader or scanner!

ok I need a good advise i looking to buy in ebay web whatever have a good deal or best deal for scanner to have it in case my boxster some day give me engine light or something like to be able to scanned and diagnostic the problem,,,in my case i have bmw i got good deal in program with plug tool for 78$ out of ebay works great but can no see to find anything for porsche what you guys use?to scan you vehicles thanks

The Durametric Tool reads all of the computers, not just ODB-II. Any generic scanner should work for just reading the OBD-II codes...
