Ok is been a while since i try to dicovery want happen to this car is boxster s , ok i don;t use the car only in sundays onece a week is been 2 weeks i noted i have to strat car sooner cause if not seems not is enough juice in battery, first discovery that my doors lighst wasn't coming off after closing the doors of the car wait wait and little lights still on!so!!noted my light in front trunk wasn't working when i opne the hood check bulb and was perfect so i take of the bulb, i went to rear trunk and there was working but take off also the bulb, so i disconnect the little ligh bulbs, in doors trunk and hood!! just to prevent battery from draining!! my surprise is that is i don't use the car for 2-3 days battery become too weak, use to last 7 days ,, SO I WAS THINKING MAYBE MY BATTERY IS GETTING OLD I WAN TO TRY BRAND NEW ONE!!!!! BUT I DISCOVER OTHER THING i park my car and just lose the door do not lock it with key or remote to prevent using alrm and weak more my battery,,,, but i note it when i clsoe my car the red little light in radio start blinking and is blinking all time when car is power off, i come strat the car and the red blkink light of radio goes of radio works perfectly ,,,,,,,,,,,, so is this red light wehn power of normal to blink????? maybe that is draining my battery???
I got car park one time aver 7 dasy without starting and when try didn't crank was real down i couln't opne front hood to recharge battery , iwas worry about radio needing a code !!!! i used trick charger to cigarret type , after 3 hrs cars starts fine and radio power and works perfectly???
---so my 2 question are is that red light normal in radio blinking when off ?
---- code for radio are only necesarry when battery is totally disconnected?

all symthoms of my car ( doors lighst not going off, light trunk not on when open hood, and this blinking radio light when car is close one !!ring a bell !!!!!! i got to point i want to sale this ffsk^^%&^^ car ... help please!

bad ignition switch, some aftermarket addition that is draining the battery, or something else. Ever had it get water inside? Computer on floor under drivers seat in US cars controls the security features.

Get to a battery store and have them test the battery with a battery tester and also test the output of the alternator. 5 minutes and will tell you a lot.

Once the charging and storage aspects are certain, then look at the car and see what if anything is not stock on the car. That is the first thing to check.

On my car, when the doors are closed, the radio on the '01 radio has a red light that blinks. Covered in the owner's manual.

The door lights and dash lights are all out after about 30 seconds.

I use my car often after 2 weeks sitting. No problems. It has a good battery.

Ok thank mike and sorry i was crazy yesterday try finding what is wrong with this car!!!!
so radio red blinking is normal!!good!
I have never have water inside car i only have 5 month owning it .. i think the battery is getting old i will go a put brand new one!!! see from there(but need code) , my alternator is good because in couple occasions when car been sitting for 5 days after short drive 10 15 , i can park car and start it over perfectly next day whats means battery got recharge after that run!!
I noted after months of ownership !!!car is in need of been start more often 3 months ago it can be park 7 days non problem , and now every 3 days !!! and i already unplug all tiny bulbs out of trunk and doors and hood! car has zero aftermark alarms speakears of any other electric gadget!!!! so if the ignition switch manage the lights in doors maybe that part is bad!!!!! how can i test it?? car start always (when battery is charge perfect) headlights fog lights all works perfect !! i don't have buzzer for seat belt or when you leave key and open the door buzzer dosen't come one just noted that buzzer sometimes !! i hear it!!! but just sometimes maybe thats is another clue!

well I was near by a auto shop this morning( i had to trick chrage my car this morning befor starte it) drove it for 45 minutes and i was near this shop so stop ask to get new battery, the gay was really nice , knowing i didn'y have the code for radio i ask him if he had source of 12 v so carfully we put in each terminal of car replace battery without stoping power supply to radio and car, , amazinly car feel little healthier , he put his machine to the battery i had in car after remove it and machine show bad battery 72 % something like it........guy explain in all the drive i did of 45minutes this old battery only ws 72 % of total capacity or so ........anyway was cheap fix paid 100$ for all deal.... my radio works as champ, i will see what happen in the next week i plan leave car park 5 days see it,, thanks
pd STILL NOT CLUE HOW ADJUST THE DOOR LIGHTs IN THIS BOXSTER ANYONE KNOWS HOW THEY WORK, ??????or it have to be just the dealer that with the scanner they can progarm them or reprogram them to go out after 10 seconds ! like it should!! i want to try avoid dealer visitor!!!
