The Newbie and the Cross Country

Greetings,
I'm the proud new owner of my very first Porsche! I picked up a 2001 Boxster with only 42K miles on it - newer tires and brakes and new top (glass rear window).
I'm planning to take it on a cross country trip - no better car for a nice cruise eh?
What sorts of spare parts and tools should I bring along, beyond the factory tool kit and some spare bulbs, relays, and serpentine belt?
Thanks for your time,

Scott

A can of fix-a-flat, maybe some fuses, paper towels, can of oil? I would simply replace the belt before you leave if you're worried about it: Pelican Technical Article: Boxster Drive Belt Replacement - 986 / 987 These cars are not like the ones from the old days - they are pretty darn reliable...

Good luck!

Wayne, I can't thank you enough for posting all those tech articles! I skimmed through a bunch of them and feel like I could take on the world!

Well, at least I know I could at least change a serpentine belt or water pump myself.
