Interchangeability of 987 Noses?
Silly question perhaps, but...does anybody know how interchangeable the noses are on the 987 Boxsters and Caymen? For example, could one put a new (2011) Boxster S nose on a 2006 Cayman S? I find it far sexier (slimmer) than the standard Cayman S nose. I know all the 986 cars have pretty much interchangeable noses (I put an '03 nose on my second '99, for instance), but wasn't sure about Cayman v Boxster issues?

I've seen this done quite a few times, but I haven't spoken directly with the owners that did it. From what I've heard though through the grapevine, it is indeed a bolt-on replacement.

Seems like it should be. Wonder if there are any unique "behind the bumper" pieces?
Sure is pretty with the Boxster S nose on it... ![]()
