Motion sensor cover
Hi all:
The interior of my Boxster is in almost perfect shape The only thing that annoys me (apart from the excessive use of plastic) is one of the plastic oval covers near the top release handle. I heard that this covers motion sensors which seems plausible as there is an array of LEDs exposed underneath. Does anyone know where to get one? I didn't see it in the Pelican Parts shop, or any other online shops for that matter. Sorry to make my first post so superficial (Wayne's great book is helping me with the hard stuff  ).Thanks |

RLR, call dC Automotive 1-800-579-2410 and ask for the dark red motion sensor lens's for the motion detector. I got mine from them they were under $10.00 I ordered 2 to have 1 as a spare.
They knew exactly what I needed and shipped it right away. |

Are you able to get the actual motion sensors themselves? Or is that whole thing one unit?

Pelican does have this part. It's: 996-618-212-02-oem Just not too easy to find in their catalog.

Yes. Mine is missing too. Just order one from Pelican. Thanks.
The cigarette lighter is also missing from my Boxster 2000. Does anybody know the part number for that? Not because I need it for smoking. I don't. Just not happy to see the hole wide open. Or anybody has a recommendation for better using it. |
