Pulsed Injection or Continuous Injection
Hi,
I have a 2000 S Boxter, in Southern California.... does anyone know if my Porsche is Pulsed Injected or Continuous Injected ? Thanks Rod |
Sequential pulse

so would that be Pulsed Injected... ? I'm reading a Bosch Fuel Injected Engine Management book and they talk about Pulsed and Continuous, not Sequential...
Thanks Rod |
Okay just found something on Sequential. Motronic ?

On a Continuous Injection System (CIS), injectors have no moving parts, hence, no electrical wires connected to them.

So you end up with redundant names like multi port sequential (pulsed) electronic fuel injection. All cars since around 1990 have electronically injected motors. |
Thanks Milt !

Just to clarify the need for "sequential". Porsche has also used "batch fire" systems in the 944's, pulsing all of the injectors together.

Thanks for the reply !
