Advice for a 75w90 transmission oil

Hello, I want to change the transmision oil of my 986s G68/20 gear box. In the workshop manual recommend 75w90, but I don't know with oil to choose, I was thinking in "Motul gear 300 75w90", that is API GL4, GL5.

What do you think is the best choice for my gear box?

This should be asked in the "Boxster & Cayman Forum". This is the air-cooled 911 forum.....

We spend an inordinate amount of time draining just about every brand of after market gear oils out of Porsche gearboxes in one failed experiment after another. Every time, the customer comments are the same: Poor shifting, stiff, noisy, etc.; and every time the results are the same: The problems go away as soon as the OEM product goes back in.

A lot of small time lubricant blenders claim they can match the OEM product, yet the major players in the lubricant markets say they have no direct match for Porsche’s product, which has unique characteristics and is made by a small specialty manufacturer, and has no GL or other recognizable specs, but is a full synthetic product and obviously works well in these transmissions.

I have Motul in mine and 200 miles into the change I started getting a whine. I'm going to switch back to Porsche fluid at my next oil change.

Part number is 999-917-546-00; we get it in drums from a Porsche dealer. They also sell it by the liter as well. There is no aftermarket source for this, it is dealer only...............
