Cost to replace sway bar bushings

Hey guys,

I'm having my lower control arms, and outer tie rods replaced today (both sides), and my mechanic called and said my sway bar bushings need to be replaced as well, and the part is $50 each. Has anyone done this job before? or had it done ... is it about an hour worth of labor? or how much should I expect to pay to have this done?

Thank you!

sway bar bushings take about 3 minutes each to replace when vehicle is on lift. don't know the price but you can look it up on Pelican parts

ahem... Sway bushings are $10-15 per set and there are 6?? bolts. Definitely a DIY if he wants an hour for the job.

Maybe he said sway bar links, they are about $50 a side & take longer to install although pretty easy since they are right by the control arms.

the labor guide book allows .8 hours for the front bushings which includes the time to bring the car in put it on the lift and remove 4 bolts pop the bushings off and install new ones. Most of that time is just putting the car on the lift. with a zip gun you can literally change them out in less that 3 min each. I know cause I do them all the time. (YES I torqye them when I put them back on)
