Reuse 2.5 rod bolts?

I am rebuilding a 986 engine and am wondering if the rod bolts can be reused or do they stretch when torqued. I started a blog titled "1998 986 rebuild" with pics if anyone's interested. I work on it in my spare time so there will be some time between entries.

Absolutely do not re-use these. There have been supercessions on this part along with a torque value change. Going with ARP's is an even better idea. It's not a good idea to re-use the original early head bolts either. Again, superceded to much better part.

torque specs ?

I'm also doing a rebuild of a 2.7L 986. Can anyone tell me the bolt torque specs for the rod bearings, crankshaft carrier bolts (Main Bearing Bolts) & the engine case bolts ?

Are you seriously doing a rebuild without a workshop book? Yikes!

I don't think you can just replace the bolts if you replace the bolts you have to resize.

The Porsche connecting rods cannot be resized since they are the cracked beam design. You can replace the rod bolts & ARP bolts are highly recommended.
