Is it my imagination or....
is the supply of used Boxsters(year 2000-2004) drying up? A year ago there were choices in that age range but now I don't see many for sale. There are quite a few of the early ones - 97to 99 available. Many people seem to know a bargain when they see one and that is why I am wondering or it just Canada only?
Not that I am not dissatisfied with my 2001 Box but I am contemplating the 2009(no ims) in 10 years time and by that time I will be in my 70's LOL. My 2001 2.7 l has only 40k miles on it so I know it will last a long time. My wife knows me and is already asking me what I will get next ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I also have a 2001 2.7 (mine has about 31,000 miles and still looks brand new). It seems to me that if you like your current car it would be way cheaper to install Jake's IMS design and keep the car. I mean, you'll most likely lose $2,000 to $3,000 just by selling your 2001 (I know I would).
Of course a 2009 will probably be in the over $30,000 range (I'm guessing). Much, much cheaper to fix the IMS and keep the 2001. Hell, to most people they look exactly the same anyway! None of my friends seem to be able to tell the difference! A "Porsh" is a "Porsh"! Steve |

I was ready to travel to buy the right one & there still weren't a lot of 'good' options in the price range I had to stay in.
