Cam Chain Tensioner Install on 5 chain engine

I have a '99 2.5l and am about to install new cam chain tensioners. I bought the tensioners from Pelican, have read the articles on the site, purchased the holding fixture but do have one question. I am new to boxsters but not new to wrenching

The question is this, With the holding fixture attached to bank 1-3 ( passenger side) and with the holding pin in the crank, can I install all 3 tensioners one at a time , without moving the fixture to the other bank (drivers side). I am not sure the tool even installs on that side or not, i've only ever seen it on the passenger side bank.

Any comments are appreciated, thanks in advance

yes you can, the holding fixture in the one spot holds all the cams . just make sure you are on the firing stroke of no 1 cylinder when you try to install the holder.

What prompted you to replace the cam tensioners?

I ask as I get some noise (which I think might be chain related) as
my oil ages.

But I have been monitoring my oil filter and see nothing.

Was thinking maybe a weak chain tensioner that needed thicker oil
to hold its pressure.

my symptom is i get a lot of rattling for a second or less right after startup, i say is because i am still waiting on parts to be delivered. i also read a bunch of posts here and on other sites describing the same issue. i dont have any sign of ISB failures, the replacement for me is a bit of a risk because i dont have a definative diagnosis
