I am trying to find the reason why my left hand front side light, or is it marker to you Americans? is not coming on, on my 2002 Boxter S with Litronic factory lights. What I have done so far is take the headlight unit out, checked the bulb that is fine, I lit it up on the battery. I looked at the fuse thats OK I changed it for the right side and the fuse works fine. I also checked the headlamp female socket that connects the whole unit up when you push the headlight in. On that socket when the lights are switched on in the car, I have power from the top right pin and power on the bottom right pin. There is no power on the others in between. Is this the problem, should there be power on them? If so what do you suggest I do next?

Do you mean the side marker by the wheel wells, or the actual turn signal indicator lamp?
